THE CHALLENGE

Scanbox tasked Vievo with creating a compeling content package for the A24 horror movie, "Talk To Me.”

Crafted by the Philippou brothers, who catapulted to online stardom via their YouTube channel, RackaRacka, expectations were high among both fans of the brothers and horror enthusiasts.

Given the horror genre's popularity among Generation Z, Scanbox sought a strategy to captivate both this demographic and the older fans of the genre.

THE SOLUTION

Vievo designed 8 different spots tailored for each social media platform. The vertical spots aimed towards TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram Reels was edited specifically to compliment each of the unique engagement features on the platforms

Endless Loop: As both TikTok and Snapchat offers an ad experience where the video replays, Vievo ensured to construct seamless loop in the spots. Resulting in a higher amount of completed video views.

Enhanced captions and ‘Interactive formats: TikTok (and recently Instagram) allow users to reply to others comments with a video response. Vievo integrated this experience into the promotional spots for these channels to help make the content feel native.

Engaging Hooks: Each spot was crafted with the first frames being unique

Vievo created eight distinct spots, each tailored to suit various social media platforms. The vertical spots, tailored for TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram Reels, were edited to complement the distinctive engagement features of each platform.

THE RESULTS

Talk To Me became the highest-grossing horror film for A24 with a global box office of more than $92M. Box office figures in Scandinavia surpassed more than $1M.
